3. USE OF GOOGLE ANALYTICS (THIRD PARTY PROCESSOR)

 

We use Google Analytics (provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) to collect and analyse data on how our website is used.

  • Data Collected: Google Analytics collects the Technical Data (Usage Data) mentioned above using cookies.

  • IP Anonymisation: We have activated IP anonymisation in Google Analytics (_anonymizeIp()). This means your IP address is truncated within the EU/EEA, reducing the identification risk. The full IP address is only transferred to Google’s servers in the USA in exceptional cases and truncated there.

  • Legal Basis: The processing is based on your Explicit Consent, which you provide via our cookie solution. You can withdraw your consent at any time.

  • Opt-Out: You can easily opt out of Google Analytics tracking by adjusting your cookie preferences on our website or by installing Google’s official browser add-on.

 

4. DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL DATA

 

We share your Personal Data with the following categories of recipients, and only to the extent necessary to fulfil the stated purposes:

  • Processors: Companies that process data on our behalf (e.g., hosting providers, IT support, Google Analytics). We enter into Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) with all processors to ensure they comply with GDPR standards.

  • Affiliates: We may share data with our parent company or other companies under common control (LeakBusters by Lofet Ltd), but only to the extent necessary for operations and under the obligation to honour this Privacy Policy.

  • Authorities: Data is disclosed if required by law or in response to a valid legal request (e.g., police or courts).

  • Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, sale of assets, or similar transactions.

 

5. TRANSFER TO THIRD COUNTRIES

 

Our use of Google Analytics entails that your data may be transferred to and stored in the USA, which is a country outside the EU/EEA (a Third Country).

  • Transfer Basis: As Cyprus is part of the EU, any transfer outside the EU must take place on a lawful basis. The transfer to Google is secured by the fact that we have entered into the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) with Google and have implemented additional technical measures (such as IP anonymisation) to protect your data in accordance with the European Court of Justice's Schrems II ruling.

  • Risks: You should be aware that US authorities may potentially access this data under US law (e.g., FISA).

 

6. RETENTION OF DATA

 

We retain your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes for which it was collected:

  • Customer Data (Contact, Contract): Retained for as long as you are a customer, and for a subsequent period (typically up to 5 years) to comply with accounting legislation and any legal claims.

  • Google Analytics Data: The retention period for data on Google Analytics servers is set in our configuration, typically 26 months, after which it is automatically deleted.

  • Marketing Consent: Retained until you withdraw your consent, or we determine that the consent is no longer active.

 

7. YOUR RIGHTS AS A DATA SUBJECT (GDPR Art. 12-22)

 

Under the GDPR, you have a number of rights regarding our processing of your Personal Data. You can exercise your rights by contacting us via email (contact@leakbusters.ltd).

  1. Right of Access (Art. 15): You have the right to obtain confirmation as to whether or not Personal Data concerning you is being processed, and, where that is the case, access to the data.

  2. Right to Rectification (Art. 16): You have the right to have inaccurate Personal Data concerning you rectified.

  3. Right to Erasure ("Right to be forgotten") (Art. 17): You have the right to have your data erased, unless we have a legal obligation or another lawful basis to continue processing.

  4. Right to Restriction of Processing (Art. 18): You have the right to obtain restriction of processing your Personal Data in certain circumstances.

  5. Right to Data Portability (Art. 20): If processing is based on consent or a contract, and processing is carried out by automated means, you have the right to receive your Personal Data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format.

  6. Right to Object (Art. 21): You have the right to object to processing which is based on our legitimate interest.

  7. Right to Withdraw Consent (Art. 7): If processing is based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw it at any time.

 

Complaint Procedure

 

If you are dissatisfied with our processing of your Personal Data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant Supervisory Authority.
