EU Funding for Leak Reduction in Cyprus Guidance by LeakBusters
See where AI-driven leak reduction fits EU priorities (2021–2027).
We help scope projects and prepare documents for people of Cyprus.
Funding of your water-loss reduction project
Leak reduction, water efficiency and resilience are current EU priorities.
Cohesion Policy 2021–2027 allocates €16.9bn EU-wide for water and sustainable water management,
with Cyprus funding through the THALIA 2021–2027 programme and national co-financing.
Where your project can align (examples):
-
Cohesion Policy / ERDF (Cyprus THALIA 2021–2027): smart, green investments — including efficient water management and digitalisation.
-
Recovery & Resilience Facility (RRF): Cyprus’ plan supports green/digital upgrades — water/efficiency projects can complement these measures.
-
EU water-resilience actions: the Commission’s strategy encourages Member States to reallocate funds toward water resilience; projects that save water and reduce losses are in scope.
-
EU-level efficiency target: the EU is driving at least a 10% improvement in water efficiency by 2030, making leak reduction highly fundable.
Important: Calls, rules and match-funding vary. We guide you on scoping, measurement plans and evidence (baselines, KPIs, before/after leakage) so your project is “funding-ready.” (We are not a grant authority — we prepare strong technical packs.)
